Visiting Therapist Program provides mental health services to youth and families involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. the program serves youth who are either dependents of the court or on probation through Alameda County. The program serves participants in their place of residence, thus providing valuable continuity of services even if the participant moves to a different home. The majority of participants have been victims, or witnesses of, abuse and neglect. VTP’s goals are that participants will learn to cope with past trauma, increase their ability to regulate their emotions, gain insight into their actions, develop a strong and healthy sense of self, and develop hope for their futures.

The Company: Fred Finch Youth Center has been serving children and young adults with mental and intellectual disabilities for more than a century.

Position:Full time Bi-Lingual Mental Health Therapist and Mental Health Therapist position

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Behavioral Health evaluation and assessment, treatment planning, crisis management.
  • Provide comprehensive and individualized clinical case management and coordination of services, resources and referral services. Provide mental health services (including individual and family therapy), comprehensive and individualized clinical case management and coordination of services, resources and referral services.
  • Maintain participant records utilizing the Electronic Health Record system(s) or other computer-based means to effectively complete all clinical documentation
  • Meet all HIPAA standards including but not limited to in exchanging information, keeping Protected Health Information (PHI) secure

Required Qualifications: 

  • MA degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university
  • Registered intern or associate with Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Licensed LCSW, MFT.
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish Speaking(Required for Bi-Lingual position)
