THE PROGRAM

 

Vista Hill Bridges North Central Regional Recovery Center (RRC) provides nonresidential alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment and recovery services to Transition Age Youth (TAY) (18-25 y.o.), adults (26-59 y.o.) and older adults (60 y.o. and above) with alcohol and other drug-induced problems, including co-occurring mental health disorders. The Bridges RRC designed for adults seeking to make the personal changes necessary to live a clean & sober productive life. The structured treatment services provide the individual with counseling and support components that include case management services, individualized treatment and recovery plans, weekly group meetings & vocational assistance and aftercare follow-up services. The program offers the recovery knowledge ad tools to rebuild a healthy lifestyle. The program’s required participation is based on assessment and includes an initial diagnostic assessment. Clinical staff includes a licensed and licensed eligible mental health clinician, certified drug and alcohol counselors, Vocational Counselor, Outreach Workers and a consulting psychiatrist. Program services are offered in North Central San Diego Area.

 

THE POSITION

 

Under general supervision, the Registered Clinician performs high quality clinical care for clients in the program of assignment. The Registered Clinician is responsible for the clinical integrity, assessment, plan and delivery of the mental health services to client and assures that all provided services, program documentation, and billing are consistent with VH policies and various county and community contracts and any federal, state, county, and district requirements.

 

  • Provides individual, group and family therapy services as required by contract.
  • Considers trauma informed methods and services are provided in a manner that demonstrates awareness of cultural issues.
  • Meets program productivity standards for caseload and service delivery
  • Completes Assessments that provide a comprehensive, accurate, and professional description of the client’s presenting problems, history, and current symptoms in accordance with all contract documentation standards.
  • Develops and implements Client Plans.
  • Ensures that Behavioral Health Assessments, CYHQ, Client Plans, and Utilization Reviews are completed prior to or by the date due and that there are no procedural lapses in the client’s access to services.
  • Ensures integrated coordination of care with school personnel, primary health care providers, community providers, CPS, Probation, faith based services and others as appropriate, in implementing treatment plan.
  • Ensures that all County and Vista Hill procedural requirements are completed including consents, HIPPA, UMDAP, releases (as appropriate) within required time frames.
  • Completes all contract and Vista Hill outcome measures within required time frames and uses them to inform care.
  • Responsible for documenting all client contacts in the file within the program guidelines. Maintain accurate and timely record for each client including case notes, statistics, termination summaries, and discharge plans.
  • Submits client data on a timely basis. Works with the admin assistant to promptly resolve all eligibility issues that impede billing for services.
  • Participates in weekly Supervision. Incorporates feedback into clinical practice.
  • Maintain data collection and contract compliance of records as required.
  • Participate in case file reviews.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Masters or Doctorate degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or human behavior from an accredited college or university.
  • Registration with the appropriate State board (BBS, BOP) as a post Masters level intern or a state license in a state other than California for clinical social work (LCSW), marriage and family therapy (MFT), professional clinical counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist with the appropriate state waiver
  • A minimum of two (2) years supervised therapy experience with target population.
  • Must offer certain linguistic, gender, cultural and ethnic specific skills: must be able to work with culturally diverse population.
  • Must be free of parole and probation for a period specified by program contract.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • May require bilingual abilities based on population needs.

 

HOURS

40 hours per week. Monday – Friday 12:30pm – 9pm

 

PAY

$21.75 per hour

 

BENEFITS

This position receives full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (vacation and sick leave), paid holidays, and employer-paid pension.
