The Bilingual Transition Age Youth (TAY) Clinician provides family-based mental health counseling, therapy, crisis intervention, family finding, and case management services to transitional age youth and families. These are youth ages 16 – 24 who have received services through the foster care system. This program works to support overall wellness goals for youth, access to community resources, and educational and employment opportunities.
Services build on the values and strengths of each young adult and family, and are tailored to meet their unique and changing needs. As our approach to services is youth driven, each client identifies the focus of their treatment, as well as the people they want on their treatment team, which may include supportive family, friends, or community members. Participation is voluntary, and youth are able to decide when they are ready for mental health services to end.
Seneca Family of Agencies is committed to providing traditionally marginalized communities a network of outstanding mental health, community based, and educational services. Celebrating diversity and creating a culture of inclusion increases creativity, innovation, problem solving, and teamwork. Seneca’s agency-wide DEI Advisory Board, Employee Resource Groups, and Language Practice Groups help our employees provide culturally and linguistically relevant services to the families we serve.
