Kindman & Co. is a group practice that provides counseling services to individuals, couples/partners, families, and groups in Los Angeles and throughout California. As social justice-informed therapists, we are dedicated to serving folks who have been marginalized or othered by society and are seeking support to build thriving relationships and communities, heal trauma, and bring about positive social change.
We are seeking a stellar human to come on board as an Associate (AMFT, ASW, APCC) or Licensed Psychotherapist (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) and work together with our fabulous team of real, human therapists! We are messy, we laugh a lot, we use curse words, and we have a snack drawer.

Compensation Package: Please note that all new clinicians start as part-time and grow to full-time status as their caseload grows to at least 21+ clinical hours per week. We do everything we can to promote you and give you clients, but we cannot control how long it will take to reach full-time status.
Clinicians are paid multiple rates, dependent on type of work performed. The Licensed Psychotherapist Clinical Rate is $70 per hour and the Associate Psychotherapist Clinical Rate is $50 per hour during the 3-month introductory period and the clinical rates increase to $80 per hour (licensed) and $60 per hour (associates) after the introductory period ends and it’s determined that the job is the right fit.

Preferred Qualifications:
Active social justice values and anti-oppressive, liberatory therapeutic framework
3 years of training/experience working with marginalized populations in social justice-oriented work and familiarity with traumas associated with systemic oppression.
Previous training and experience working with LGBTQIA+ folks, polyamory, and consensual non-monogamy, kink, etc.
Previous experience and training in Relational Gestalt therapy and/or PACT therapy with couples
Responsibilities
This position primarily involves:
- providing therapy for individual, couple/partner, and family clients;
- managing your caseload and scheduling responsibilities;
- assisting in marketing efforts (blog writing, networking, etc.);
- attending supervision/consultation and weekly team meetings;
- completing all essential clinical documentation and treatment plans;
- and fostering our practice community through efforts to build relationships with your colleagues
