IMCES as a community clinic is prepared and committed to responding to the evolving and ever changing needs of our communities. The Institute for Multicultural Counseling and Education Services (IMCES) is a community clinic providing integrated health and mental health services in addition to workforce development to the community since 1989. Our direct services are structured for underserved, culturally diverse target populations. IMCES provides many programs designed to address the complexity of clients and community needs with the spectrum of severe mental illness, moderate mental illness, as well as programs for prevention and early intervention. The target client population includes the full spectrum from low to high intensity level of care, of different age groups, from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. The structure of the organization includes practicing as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary care team, inclusive of attorney as case manager, substance abuse specialist, psychiatrist/psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, and other mental health professionals.

Main Responsibilities of the Position
Evaluate clients mental health needs, create a relevant treatment plan and provide evidence based practices to clients for intervention in offices and in the field to reach their treatment goals.
Collaborate with other treatment team members regarding patient’s progress through multidisciplinary team meetings, program meetings, and other settings where appropriate.
Ensure that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensure that clients’ progress notes are entered into the medical record system on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational procedures.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology or relevant mental health discipline with the intention to become licensed in California
Waiver/ Registered with the relevant board (BOP or BBS)
Successful completion of 2 years clinical experience
Compensation is commensurate with experience and education.
$66,560 for MA Degree
$70,720 for Doctoral Degree
