Position Summary:

The clinician is responsible for providing high quality outpatient therapeutic or residentially based services and/or case management to at risk youth and families who may be experiencing barriers to receiving office-based therapeutic services.

Requirements:

      1. Ph.D. in Psychology or equivalent; or, MSW or MA in Counseling from an accredited college or university.
      2. Licensed in the State of California by the Board of Psychology; or, licensed (LCSW or MFT) in the State of California by the Board of Behavioral Science, within 18 months of hire; or, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with relevant experience with target population eligible in San Diego/Alameda Counties within 18 months of hire. (Must meet minimum training and experience requirements.)
      3. At least one year of post-graduate residential, community-based or milieu experience preferred.
      4. Fluency in prevailing language(s) of community where Clinician will work preferred.
      5. Experience with or knowledge of designing, supervising, monitoring, changing, and discontinuing individualized behavioral interventions required.
      6. Clean driving record; current CA driver’s license Required, or ability to obtain within 10 days after hired.
      7. At least one year post-graduate school experience with program target population preferred (Example: intellectually disabled, homeless, teens or young adults, SED); at least one year experience with program modality (example: school-based, residential, mobile/community-based, assertive community treatment, wraparound, etc.) Preferred.
      8. Preferred: demonstrated ability to assess, triage, plan, and organize work and respond effectively to crises.
      9. Preferred: Uses a strength-based, culturally competent approach to supervision, participant care, and program management.
      10. Preferred: Has/Demonstrates strong behavioral, crisis management and family/individual/group therapy skills.
      11. Fluency in prevailing language(s) of community strongly Preferred.
      12. Experience with evidence-based practices relevant to the population, preferred.
      13. Must have access to dependable transportation available and personal car insurance meeting minimum liability coverage, unless using agency vehicle.
