Master’s Degree in MFT or Social Work from an accredited university or college. Fluent Spanish speaking preferred. A general understanding of CBIT principles, processes, symptoms/responses.
The Cognitive Behavioral Interventions in Schools (CBITS) Facilitator will work with students ages 10-15 who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. The CBITS Facilitator is responsible for the provision of group sessions during the academic year, along with individual student, parent and teacher sessions. The Facilitator must demonstrate willingness to learn the required documentation and billing paperwork and exhibit a professional level of comfort in working with clients who have experienced trauma. Clinical supervision for the accumulation of hours toward licensure is provided by a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Must participate in all contract-required trainings throughout the year. Must be able to pass a full criminal background check, including fingerprinting, and be TB cleared. Morning and afternoon hours required, as the groups will be conducted during school hours.
