We are currently seeking a Lead Therapist, School and Community Based for our Family Resource Center in South Pasadena, CA. Our Family Resource Centers offer numerous community-based programs and services that provide parenting classes, mental health support and additional crucial resources for vulnerable children and families throughout Los Angeles County.

Key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Assist the School and Community Based Program Manager in documentation and training paperwork for all aspects of the School & Community Based program
  • Carry a half caseload (50%; depending on the needs of the program) of School and/or Community Based clients
  • Clinically and administratively supervise and assign cases to MHRS staff
  • Provide on-site support to interns in the School & Community Based Services program
  • Attend DMH and DCFS meetings on behalf of the School & Community Based Services Program Manager as needed
  • Participate in the interviewing of School & Community Based Services candidates as a panel interviewe
  • Facilitate MHRS group supervision
  • Meet with the School & Community Based Services Program Manager weekly
  • Participate in all internal School & Community Based Services chart audits and assist School & Community Based Services Program Manager in tracking findings and corrections
  • Is available on-call to clinicians by phone, may be required to go out into the field
  • Other duties as required

Requirements for this position are:

  • Masters Degree in social welfare or counseling from an accredited college or university
  • Experience in working in a field based or community based program and school based services
  • Experience in and a mastery of documentation practices
  • Registered and in good standing with the BBS, licensed preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required
  • Valid California driver’s license, driving record and personal vehicle insurance acceptable to Hillsides’ insurance carrier
