Reflections Recovery Centers is seeking a highly qualified Marriage and Family Therapist Intern to work in Addiction and with Co-Occurring Disorders. We are an abstinence based recovery program.
The counselor will report to our Program Director. This position will be responsible for Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, and Teaching in the Group setting.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the safety and whereabouts of clients while in the facility
  • Be highly self-motivated
  • Be able to work with clients of varied social, economic, cultural and religious backgrounds
  • Be prepared to lead group
  • Be prepared to teach psycho-educational and addiction related topics
  • Have curriculum to teach prepared and ready to disseminate to clients
  • Have handled case work and documentation on clients
  • Have handled Individual Counseling in Addiction and client documentation
  • Be able to complete Bio-psycho-socials on all incoming clients
  • Interface with other staff on the Clinical team, and our business department
  • Type 35 to 40 words per minute.
  • Be able to work in highly active environment

Qualifications and Experience

  • All MFT’s and MSW’s must have experience in a drug and alcohol recovery setting
  • Have no less than two years of work experience in the addiction field
  • Have a curriculum they have used or classes with outlines on what they have taught
  • Have computer, networking skills have their own lap top
  • Have TB test, CPR, First Aid Certification as part of hiring file
  • Have excellent referrals
  • Experience in LGBT, Mindfulness and Meditation is an asset.

Required experience:

  • Drug and Alcohol Recovery: 2 years
