CommuniCare Health Centers is seeking TWO highly motivated Behavioral Health Clinicians for Adult Services to provide individual and group counseling to clients in various treatment programs.
ASW/MFTI and a minimum of two (2) years experience working in the behavioral health field with adults required. Experience in substance use disorders preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must have demonstrated knowledge and use of DSM IV. Ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team, to problem solve and be self-motivated. Beginning to intermediate computer proficiency required. Must have a commitment to excellence and high standards and have excellent written and oral skills, strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision. Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels and with external customers.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Conducts screening and intake assessments for clients. Completes all client information and documentation in a timely manner according to guidelines.
2. Writes and completes treatment plans in a timely manner according to Drug Medi-Cal guidelines.
3. Works with clients to establish long and short term goals. Counselor is responsible for detecting emotional, psychological, and physical danger signals. Counselor is non-judgmental and offers feedback and support to clients.
4. Provides information to clients including treatment alternatives and referral service.
5. Responsible for remaining within the ethical standards established in the field, including those of confidentiality.
6. Responsible for explaining and enforcing all rules and regulations associated with clinic treatment policy.
7. Compile and report statistics as required.
8. Attend clinical supervision and weekly staff meetings. Attend training/conferences as arranged.
9. Responsible for maintaining the standards as listed in the CommuniCare Health Centers Policies and Procedures, and any other standards which may apply to this position.
10. Responsible for working with CPS, Probation, and other agencies to case manage clients as directed by supervisor.
11. Other projects as may be assigned.
40 hours per week, Monday – Friday at Salud Clinic in West Sacramento and Hansen Family Health Center in Woodland, which may include evening hours.
