Established in 1946, Haynes Family of Programs has grown from a small operation serving just a handful of children into one of the largest and most comprehensive non-profit organizations of its kind, dedicated to helping children with special needs relating to emotional development, abuse, neglect, abandonment, autism, Asperger’s Disorder and learning disabilities. Nestled against the backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains, Haynes Family of Program’s lush 21-acre campus is located in the City of La Verne at the east end of Los Angeles County. Our Mission is to strengthen the Mind and Spirit of children with emotional, special learning, and developmental needs by providing specialized programs in a nurturing, caring and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities:

•Ensures that professional services are rendered to and/or on behalf of clients and families in a manner that promotes their overall safety, recovery, health, and well-being, and adheres to the mission and vision of the Haynes Family of Programs. Ensures that all such services are in accordance with all laws rules, and regulations governing professional practice.

•Responsible for the delivery and coordination of community-based, strengths-based Mental Health Services to clients and families as defined by Haynes Family of Programs’ Policy and Procedure and Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Such services are inclusive of, but not limited to, conducting intake screenings, processing the steps for admission, performing full clinical client assessments, developing individualized treatment plans with clients and families, conducting individual, group and/or family therapy and/or rehabilitation services in adherence with the Client Treatment Plan and engaging family members/caregivers/identified support persons in regular collateral contacts/sessions.

•Verifies initial and ongoing Medical Necessity for all client services and demonstrates Medical Necessity at the time of assessment, in the development and ongoing review of the Client Treatment Plan(s), and in every Progress Note for billed services. Ensures that the clinical assessment and Client Treatment Plan meets the standards for clinical competence, best practices and Medical Necessity at all times.

•Provides Evidenced-based Practice (EBPs) interventions that are individualized and commiserate with the appropriate training, education, and respective model adherence requirements.

Skills
•MA/MS in Clinical Psych, MFT, Social Work or Counseling OR Clinical Psych or Counseling Psych Doctorate

•Clear CA BBS registration as MFTI, LMFT, ASW, LCSW and/or CA Board of Psych as Clinical Psych Ph.D or Counseling Psych Psy.D
•Certified in Evidenced-Based Practices (Seeking Safety, M.A.P., A.R.T. & T.F./C.B.T.) preferred

•Experience with high-risk children/families preferred

•Availability to be on-call for crisis related services required

•Bilingual Spanish highly pref

•Must pass background clearance (FBI, DOJ, CACI, County Sanction List, etc.), professional reference checks, physical examination, TB test, drug screening & maintenance of a good driving record.
