We are seeking an experienced candidate who will provide direct clinical and case management services to children in treatment, and their families; to provide clinical direction to the treatment team. This position reports directly to the Director of Mental Health Services.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in intake process as defined by the clinical supervisor.
  • Obtain and complete necessary clinical records/documents within assigned time frames.
  • Provide intensive clinical case management, crisis intervention, therapy, to assigned children and families at various filed locations. Work with various modalities including individual, group and family therapy.
  • Follows all procedures and protocols related to EPSDT service delivery and documentation.
  • Assess psychotherapeutic and case management needs of children and families and develop a treatment plan agreed on by the parent(s), placement agency and treatment team.
  • Provide crisis intervention to children and families in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Develop agreed upon discharge plan and assess continuing care needs in collaboration with the clinical supervisor, parent(s), placement agency, and treatment team.
  • Ensure culturally sensitive and relevant treatment plans.
  • Qualifications:
  • M.S.W., M.A./M.S., or Master’s degree in relevant field, from an accredited graduate school.
  • Registered BBS as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (MFTI), or Professional Clinical Counselor Intern (PCCI).
  • Two+ years’ mental health experience with experience in providing direct clinical services to children with severe emotional/learning problems and their families preferred.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish
  • Must have knowledge or experience with DMH paperwork
  • Have current certification in LA County approved Evidence-Based Practices
  • Willingness and ability to make frequent field visits, attend meetings, conferences and other job related events away from headquarters. If driving a personal vehicle, must be insurable by our agency’s automobile insurance carrier.
