The Chadwick Center, Trauma Counseling Program is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Social Worker I (registered ASW or MFTI) or II (LCSW or MFT) for our Chula Vista site. The Social Worker I or II works with children and families who have experienced trauma by providing assessment; individual, group and family therapy interventions; support; advocacy; and case management as part of a clinical treatment team. The Social Worker utilizes knowledge of culture, age and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions. Knowledge and experience in treating neglect, physical and sexual abuse, sexual assault and domestic and community violence in a therapeutic setting is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Bilingual (Spanish) REQUIRED

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or other behavioral health field

Social Worker I (MSW)

1 year of experience

1 year pediatric professional experience

Registration with the State of California as an ASW, MFTI or PCCI, as appropriate by discipline

Social Worker II (LCSW)

2 – 4 years of experience

Licensure in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

2 years of pediatric professional experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

3 years of experience

Experience working in a mental health clinic or other behavioral health setting with victims of trauma

Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions

Experience in assessments and treatment of children and adolescents
