The goals are to reintegrate the client back into the community by focusing on interpersonal and independent living skills, as well as developing community support systems. Our programs provide a stabilizing environment, a multitude of self-help skills and a plan to assist client’s transition back into the community to practice what they have learned while in the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide orientation, consultation, and/or coordination within work team to ensure that service delivery including assessment, crisis intervention, treatment, discharge planning, and communication of significant information meets the needs of clients, families and payors and reflects sound clinical judgment.

Develop, review, evaluate and/or sign documentation including those requiring LPHA signature. Complete clinical records and other required documentation in accordance with agency, payor and regulatory requirement, utilizing paper or computer technology as required.

Participate in management of team/program discretionary resources available to meet client needs; ability to engage and effectively communicate with others; demonstrate tact and diplomacy; exercise good judgment and act calmly in emergency situations; have an ability to work effectively with persons differing in value systems, ethnicity, cultural backgrounds, language capabilities and disabilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and demands. Knowledge of the specific needs of the target population, as well as serious mental illness, substance abuse, and the justice system preferred.

Provide on-call coverage and participate in after hours rotation, as assigned. Provide transportation in personal or agency vehicle, including but not limited to the transportation of clients and/or program supplies for agency business. Attend and participate in staff, program, agency and community meetings and training as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in the mental health professions and one-year experience working in human services settings required. Doctorate education and experience may be substituted where appropriate. License: Current California licensure from the Board of Behavioral Science as a Licensed Marriage, Family Therapist (MFT), or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or a Professional Clinical Counselor (PCCI) or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY)or registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as a Marriage, Family Therapist Intern (MFTI), or an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) or with the Board of Psychology as an Associate Psychologist (APSY). Must be eligible for waiver upon hire and obtain waiver within six months of hire. If licensed prefer ability to supervise trainees and interns according to BBS requirements.

A valid California driver’s license, current car insurance, and a good driving record as documented by a DMV report and eligibility. Computer literacy required.
Able to successfully pass drug screening.
