Comfort Recovery is an Intensive Outpatient Drug in Woodland Hills! We are a primary chemical dependency rehabilitation program and are seeking an MFT Intern to provide innovative and effective therapeutic services to our clientele! The ideal candidate will be an individual who reflects the mission and values of Comfort Recovery and presents with a passion for this population of clients. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop and facilitate psycho educational groups and other psychotherapy groups as informed by program schedule;
  • Provide behavioral health and direct client care in a supportive and therapeutic environment
  • One on one therapy 1x per week for each client
  • Milieu management as required
  • Report and document patient behaviors, occurrences, and conditions
  • Communicate effectively with clients and all members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Crisis management and intervention as required
  • Maintain continued awareness of client activities and needs
  • Monitor changes in client activity or needs, and respond appropriately
  • Monitor and supports clients’ activities of daily living
  • Referral development duties as assigned
  • Other Duties as Assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MA in Psychology or related field
  • Registered MFT Intern number
  • 1+ years experience as a mental health counselor or clinician
  • 1+ year as a counselor/clinician in a chemical dependency treatment setting a plus
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary treatment setting preferred
  • Inpatient, residential treatment, and/or IOP setting experience desirable
  • Working knowledge of PC-based office and electronic health recordapplications
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience with KIPU EMR
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong team player; solid work ethic, high energy level, flexibility
  • Handle simultaneously projects at once and prioritize activities
  • Pass livescan background check & TB test

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $23.00 /hour
