Therapist Intern is responsible for providing mental health services. The Therapist Intern will have an opportunity to provide individual, couple, or family therapy. Clinical individual and group supervision is provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct individual, couple, family, group, or program specific therapeutic services in accordance with professional standards and CORC policies.
- Represent CFCC with professionalism while collaborating with community partners.
- Complete and submit accurate and detailed paperwork as required.
- Participate in required trainings throughout the year.
- Strict adherence to CFCC policies and procedures.
- Conducts all assigned duties in a professional, ethical manner which protects the rights and dignity of all Clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or in a related Mental Health field from an accredited school which qualifies the applicant as a BBS registered intern level MFT, PCC Intern, or ASW Associate.
- MFT Intern, PCC Intern, or ASW Associate in good standing with the BBS.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of generally accepted professional therapeutic modalities.
- An understanding of crisis management with the ability to respond calmly and effectively in critical situations.
- Exceptional professional skills including communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to work independently while demonstrating the highest level of professional integrity and ethical behavior.
