About Us: We are a small group dedicated to providing accessible and affordable therapy services to our community. Our practice serves a diverse clientele, POC and LGBTQIA+, offering support to individuals through private pay and various insurance plans, including managed Medi-Cal, IN-network and OUT-of-network coverage, and CA Victims of Crime.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking 1-2 motivated associates; this position is ideal for you if you are either on the path to licensure or seeking part-time opportunities in private practice. As an associate, you can build your caseload while receiving support and referrals from our team. Self-motivated with the ability to market and advertise services to maintain an active caseload is a must.

Unlike community mental health clinics, Clients are not typically assigned because the goal is to orient you toward private practice. The number of clients will depend on your networking, marketing, and advertisement. We will refer clients to you when available.

This is ideal for therapists looking to gain additional hours and need the flexibility of not carrying a full caseload.

Responsibilities:

Ability to maintain a minimum of 12 weekly client appointments. You can work with the population you want (i.e., couples, individuals, teenagers).
Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plan, progress notes) within 48 hours of service in our electronic record system (EHR).
If interested, and if clinically appropriate, learn to complete immigration evaluations (VAWA, U-VISAS, Hardship, Asylum)

Qualifications & Skills:

Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) or the Board of Psychology (psychological assistants).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent written, oral, and public communication skills.
Must maintain professional liability insurance.
Self-motivated with the ability to market and advertise services to maintain an active caseload.
Professional demeanor and ability to work independently.
Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus but not required.

Clinical supervision is provided in group, triad, or individual settings.
W-2 employment status with competitive compensation
Flexible schedule/hybrid options when feasible (office in Northridge, CA).
Opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge in insurance procedures and credentialing, Electronic Health Records (EHR), documentation (reduce your anxiety on audits, establishing medical necessity, etc), advertisement and marketing skills, preparing you for future private practice management.
Upon licensure, the opportunity to transition clients to your private practice if they choose to continue with you.
