Job Summary:
The LGBTQ+ Program Therapist provides therapeutic services, including individual, family, and group sessions as appropriate to LGBTQ+ youth and their families. The LGBTQ+ Program therapist will work collaboratively with the LGBTQ+ Program Team to assess and link the youth to needed community services and coordinate all the services that the client receives. The LGBTQ+ Program therapist documents all services according to DMH and Penny Lane guidelines.
The LGBTQ+ Program Therapist should have knowledge, skills, and experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ Community. The LGBTQ+ Program Therapist possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with clients, outside agencies, members of the community, and co-workers. The LGBTQ+ Program Therapist will employ a calm demeanor and good ethical and professional boundaries. Excellent clinical skills are used to assess the appropriate level of care for clients and stabilize clients in crisis. Teaming, collaborating and coordination of care with all Penny Lane staff, DCFS, DMH, and other outside agencies is crucial. This position requires flexibility, excellent time management skills and the ability to manage responsibilities efficiently with little supervision.

Salary Range: $68,557 – $82,672 per year
Eligible employees may request up to 5 days of Paid Time Off to study for their licensure.
