We currently have a job opening for an On Call Psycho-Social Rehabilitation (PSR) Specialist to serve at our various Outpatient Programs.

Our Outpatient Programs are psychosocial rehabilitation centers that provides mental health services to adults (ages 18 and above). Services include initial psychosocial assessments, psychiatric and medication evaluations, ongoing medication support services, limited individual supportive counseling, group counseling, care coordination, information, referrals, and linkage, crisis intervention, and psychosocial rehabilitation activities. These services are provided under contract with the County of San Diego Mental Health Services and the Health and Human Services Agency.

The emphasis of treatment is on the bio-psycho-social rehabilitation of the individual. Respect for the client is a core value, and staff members work closely with all clients to develop individualized service plans that focus on their strengths, needs, and abilities. We encourage the participation of family members in the recovery process. The teams within the Outpatient Programs are multi-disciplinary, and consists of marriage and family therapists and interns, PSR Counselors, psychologist, psychiatrists, nurses, clerical staff, and master’s level interns.

General Description

The PSR Specialist provides screenings, assessments, supportive case management, crisis intervention, medication monitoring, individual/group counseling, and outreach activities within a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Treatment model. Rotation on call for after-hours emergency telephone consultation required.

This position involves being on call to work at various CRF outpatient centers within San Diego County.

Qualifications / Skills Required

Credential requirements: Licensed Clinical Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, Registered/Waivered Psychologist, Registered ASW, IMF, or PCCI. Educational requirements: M.A. in Psychology, Social Work, or related field with minimum two years related work experience in mental health field. SMI experience preferred.

The candidate must also have great customer service skills, basic computer skills and a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Reliable transportation is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position. A valid California driver’s license in good standing and proof of insurance are required for employees driving personal vehicles on company business.
