The Psychotherapist I serve as a clinically supervised provider of outpatient mental health services to children and adolescents identified as eligible for MHSA FCCS program and eligible as Severely Emotionally Disturbed. Psychotherapists are responsible for assessment, treatment planning and psychotherapy provision to a defined caseload of patients and their families under the supervision of a Licensed Mental Health Provider. Caseload expectations are developed in consultation with the Clinical Director of Mental Health. Psychotherapist I position requires registration by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Minimum Education/Training Required: MA or MS Degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy. Student placements or internship placements must include child/adolescent psychotherapy training.
Minimum Experience Required
Post-Masters Placement in a child, adolescent of Family mental health setting
License, Registration or Certification Required
Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Social Work Intern or Marriage and Family Intern.
Skills Required: Case management. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
