Responsible for providing quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to psychiatric patients and their families, spouse, significant other; to serve as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization’s treatment program and philosophy and assure the deliverance of quality treatment to psychiatric patients and their families.

Requirements

Masters degree in social work or equivalent masters degree in a recognized mental health field; or Registered Nurse with current California license; experience in inpatient setting preferred; written and oral communication skills, knowledge of utilization management &skills in case management, time management, and crisis intervention common to acute psychotic as well as to non-violent crises intervention practice. Knowledge of acute adult psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology as specifically applied to adults, geriatrics, adolescents, and children; familiarity with follow-up resource services; skills in conducting marital and family group therapy. Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential; in the absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.

Therapists for all process/groups shall be a mental health clinician who is either licensed/certified or in the process or becoming license certified-eligible in the state of California. If license certified-eligible, conforms to all regulations regarding supervision. Group therapists shall meet competency requirements for the Group for which they provide facilitation; knowledge of advanced principals of abnormal psychology; skills in conducting group therapy. Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential; in the absence of these qualifications upon hire, must demonstrate ability to learn these concepts and develop these skills within reasonable time frame. Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.

Must be able to work various hours including weekends.
