Turning Point has opened a new children’s program in Yolo County, called the “Yolo Bridges Program”, and we are seeking an experienced full-time Therapist to join our team.
The Therapist will primarily provide services in the field (occurring in the home/school/community settings). Required to transport children and families in own vehicle as needed. Provide TBS services, case management/rehabilitation services and therapy. Provide after hours, “on-call” coverage to program clients. Responsible for insuring that the clinical needs of members are met and that necessary paperwork is complete and accurate. Provide group and individual therapy as indicated. Make recommendations for improvement in clinical program. Will have input on clinical issues as part of the clinical team. Develop individual service plans for each client and empowers clients in meeting their goals; assists teams with development of service plans that reflect measurable objectives. Meets regularly with clients at Turning Point sites or in the field (in schools, group homes, and other community settings). Consult with or meets regularly with the client’s family, care provider or other significant persons with client’s consent. Attend to the safety, health, and well-being of clients. Complete paperwork as assigned in a timely manner and meets agency standard for billable units per month; all notes meet County and Medi-Cal billing standards for content and configuration. Provide support to other staff members as needed. Provide in-home therapy. Provide prompt intervention in the event of a crisis both to stop the crisis and to notify, when indicated, persons and agencies necessary for the resolution of the crisis situation.
Skills
Spanish-speaking is strongly preferred, but not required.
MA/MS in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or related field; with additional qualifying experience as a provider of mental health services is preferred. Must be registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a MFTI, ASW, MFT, or LCSW. Experience in group homes is preferred.

Notes
Current registration with the BBS. Valid California driver’s license, current vehicle insurance and driving record acceptable to Turning Point’s vehicle insurance company and the Vehicle Driving and Maintenance Policy. Possesses and maintains a safe and reliable form of vehicular transportation excluding motorcycles.
