Scope of Position

Didi Hirsch is seeking a mission driven, bilingual and culturally competent Spanish and English speaking therapist to work within our Child and Family program at our Taper location. This position will be providing field based services including clinical interventions, outreach, psychosocial rehabilitation and intensive case management with children, adolescents and their families. Ideal candidates will have experience providing mental health services in a field-based environment with varying levels of care (FSP, FCCS, AOP and Wellness).

Essential Functions

  • Provides intake assessment, crisis intervention, individual and family therapy & facilitates conflict resolution.
  • Assists with client evaluations and clinical diagnoses; formulates an initial plan of treatment; provides in-house program referral; and outside agency referral as appropriate.
  • Assesses and monitors client to evaluate potential treatment and adapts interventions as needed.
  • Provides some case management to include referral and links to community support services, psychiatrist, medical care, housing, rehabilitation & drug/alcohol services and social activity groups.
  • Interfaces and regularly collaborates with FCCS treatment team and clinic psychiatrist regarding assessment and intake.
  • Monitors and maintains documentation of client services; ensures compliance with Agency policies and procedures; county; and other related agencies standards and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • MSW, MFT, Psy.D, PhD (unlicensed, board registered).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required
  • Knowledge of therapeutic intervention, assessment & intake; crisis & individual/family therapy; documentation & multicultural & socio-economic issues.
  • DMH paperwork and community mental health experience highly desired.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, advocacy and PC skills.
  • Must be flexible and willing to provide field-based services.
  • Ability to use analysis, experience, and judgment to make effective business and therapeutic decisions.
  • Current California driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
  • Willing to work some evenings.

Candidates must be able to clear all criminal background checks in order to qualify for this position or be in possession of an exemption from the Department of Social Services.
