Rosemary Children’s Services opened its doors in 1920 to help and serve adolescent girls.  Since then the agency has grown to provide “at-risk” youth with therapeutic and compassionate services through Residential Care,  Mental Health, Wraparound, Foster Family Agency and Adoptions Programs.

Our Field Capable Clinical Services has an opening for a Clinician to join our team and provide therapeutic services to the adolescent clients in our Field capable Clinical Services.

The Clinician’s primary responsibilities include:

JOB RESPONSABILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Establish and implement quality clinical treatment and case management for severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy as well as rehabilitative services in community-based settings.
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies whenever they can be identified.
  • Completes all client documentation according to agency and regulatory standards.
  • Develop psychosocial assessments assessment and client treatment plan according to agency and regulatory standards.
  • Provides crisis support and interventions.
  • Complete and submit billing and reports within scheduled timelines.
  • Work cooperatively with supervisors and follows their instructions.
  • Develop discharge planning and after-care as appropriate.
  • Meets agency service percentage.

Shift:

Mon-Fri 9:00am – 5:00pm (Hours may fluctuate to meets client’s needs)

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • The Clinician shall have a minimum of Master’s Degree in the Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, or Social Welfare and be a registered Marriage and Family Therapy or Clinical Social Worker Intern  with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern or Associate Clinical Social Worker.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and able to submit the required case documentation that is of professional quality.
  • Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices in child and adolescent development and therapy.
  • He/she shall demonstrate the ability to work effectively with staff, board members, the public, parents and residents and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to carry out agency policies and procedures.
  • Computer skills necessary to complete assigned job tasks.
  • Ability to successfully complete and maintain a Criminal Record Clearance, Child Abuse Index Clearance, FBI Clearance, Medical History Review & TB Test Clearance.
  • Ability to perform work-related driving.  Must maintain valid California Driver’s License, Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to agency’s insurance carrier, vehicle liability insurance and vehicle(s) in compliance with agency’s safety standards.
  • Bilingual in Spanish

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in clinical work and preferred to have 2 years experience working with severely emotionally disturbed children.
  • Trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
