Program Description: Daniel Bryant Youth & Family Treatment Center provides outpatient treatment, prevention and education services for families, and youth who are impacted by Substance Abuse.
Position Description: Counselors interact with clients on a day to day basis, providing individual and group counseling, as well as engaging in clean and sober activities in the community. Counselors provide substance abuse treatment using cognitive behavioral therapy model on recovery skills, psycho-education, and relapse prevention, seeking safety and other evidence base models. We serve clients to help them recover from substance abuse and addiction issues. We work with clients individually and their families. The work environment is fast paced, and the ideal candidate must be able to multi task and be comfortable working as part of a team. The counselors maintain a caseload as prescribed by the Program Manager and receive clinical supervision. Counselor must complete all duties assigned within time frame given, and in accordance to the standards established by the Program Manager.
Education/Experience Requirements: Seeking male applicant, bilingual (Spanish/English) desired, with minimum two years’ experience in the field of alcohol/drug counseling. AOD State Certification is desired. MFTI or trainee desired. College degree or certificate completed in helping profession (Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, etc.).
