We are currently looking to expand our clinical team with a highly motivated clinician, interested in working with people with dementia and their families.

This full-benefited position is for clinicians interested in furthering their clinical competency in the geriatric field, most particularly with the dementia population, one of the fastest growing areas in health care and clinical work. Lakeside Park is a specialized memory care assisted living community, located near Lake Merritt in Oakland. Lakeside Park’s clinical team is composed of social workers, marriage and family therapists, art therapists, and music therapists. Our multidisciplinary team provides residents with dementia and their families with exceptional care, including expert clinical support from the interns’ team. The team has been trailblazing multiple pioneering projects in dementia care under the supervision of a nationally recognized clinician. The clinical model used blends person-centered care and dementia neuroscience. Upon completion of their one-year internship, most interns choose to stay in the field. We are currently seeking Interns for our Clinical team starting now.

Prospective candidates must:

Have completed Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFTI) or Clinical Social Work (MSW)
Have a strong motivation to work with persons with dementia and their families in milieu setting
Be a registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and working towards licensure
Be able to commit to at least working 32 hours per week including Wednesdays and one weekend day.
Be able to pass a background check through the Department of Justice and the FBI and a pre-employment health and drug screening
