30-40 hours/week position providing individual and group counseling services for teens at local secondary schools with the goal of preventing, reducing, and/or eliminating substance abuse. Work with an integrated team of specialists through the Special Education department, helping to identify and assess students in need of drug and alcohol counseling services. Provide brief intervention and longer-term counseling services for identified students utilizing motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psycho-education to teach healthy coping skills.
Provide parent and school community outreach and help to connect students and families to resources as needed.

Training provided. MA degree in Clinical Counseling required- registered with BBS. Experience working with adolescents, AOD Certification, and Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Obtain experience working with substance abuse issues and get paid while gaining valuable child/family MFT Intern hours towards licensure. Clinical supervision and competitive benefit package included.

$22.00 – $28.00/hr. rate salary (DOE and certification/licensure) for school-year.
