The Lead Clinician serves as a clinical supervisor and is also responsible for delivery of a full range of clinically related services including psychosocial assessment and evaluation, counseling and therapy, crisis intervention, rehabilitation groups, collateral services, receiving and assigning client referrals, and review of client charts to assure accuracy and timeliness of charting. The Lead Clinician also assists the Clinical Supervisor with the training, mentorship, and oversight of student trainees. The Lead Clinician demonstrates a strong working knowledge of medical model, best practices in counseling, psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery, and the CCISC model of integrated services for co-occurring disorders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintains a clinical caseload as directed by the Program Manager.
  • Provides assessment, individual and group therapy and case management services.
  • Assists in oversight of practicum and internship program, including recruitment, supervision and teaching.
  • Supervises direct service staff as directed by Program Manager.
  • Assists with clinical administrative duties as assigned by Program Manager.
  • Utilizes best practices in providing clinical and rehabilitative services, and in teaching and supervising.
  • Completes all charting and documentation as contractually required and in timely manner as dictated by program requirements.
  • Provides crisis intervention and assists staff and interns as needed.
  • Serves in a mentoring role, facilitating discussion in treatment meetings and other venues, and offering guidance when necessary.
  • Participates in the recruitment and hiring recommendations of new staff; trains and orients new staff as requested by the Program Manager.
  • Displays regular and reliable attendance. Reports to and departs from work on time, as scheduled, and accurately reflects all time on time card.
  • Successfully functions as a team member.

Education/Experience Requirements -Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.

-Licensure as a MFT, LCSW, or similar licensure is preferred.

-Three years of experience working with mentally ill populations.

-Two years of clinical supervision experience is preferred.
