Requirements/Experience:

1) Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work from an accredited graduate school. (Transcripts required)

2) Proof of Registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

3) Ability in direct client-centered services with an interest in practicing psychotherapy.

Essential Duties:

1. Provide initial assessments to determine if a consumer will benefit from and meets the criteria for EPSDT services.

2. Complete psychosocial assessments, diagnosis, progress notes, progress reports and formulation of treatment plans.

3. Prepare and provide HIPAA compliant clinical information for your consumer as needed.

4. Collaborate and interact as needed with outside agency staff persons, ie- school-based treatment settings, Child Family Services, Child Protective Services, and Juvenile Probation, to ensure effective communication for optimum consumer outcomes.

5. Participate in weekly individual and group clinical supervision as needed. Prepare and present cases for review and participate in staff consultation to determine appropriate service delivery interventions.

6. Exercise awareness of cultural differences when they exist and adjust clinical practice to consumer’s racial/ethnic background.

7. Be sensitive to community agencies and general public’s need for quick access for mental health services and to help promote a positive image to the community.

8. Familiarity with and adherence to compliance with the code of conduct and the requirements of the compliance program are elements of performance evaluations and conditions of employment.

9. In the course of performing job duties, follows all Kings View policies and procedures, administrative directives, all relevant county, state and federal regulations, and any performance obligations contained in Kings View program contracts with other entities.

10. This position may require non-traditional hours based on the need of the program. The employee may be required to cover non-traditional work hours.

11. Maintain status with Board of Behavioral Sciences

12. Achieve all performance standards.

13. Maintain current valid California Driver’s License. If operating a vehicle as a function of employment with Kings View employee will provide proof of automobile liability insurance as required under California State Vehicle Code. Will follow traffic regulations while driving as a function of job responsibilities and maintain insurability with Kings View’s liability carrier.

14. Complete Service Activity Logs (SALs) and notes daily before leaving work for the day.

15. Other duties as assigned.
