Paid Clinical Associate

Helpline Youth Counseling (HYC), a non-profit agency located in East Los Angeles, has been providing youth services in Southeast Los Angeles County since 1971 with a primary purpose of providing therapeutic counseling and assistance to at-risk, low income children, youth and their families.

Mission
The mission of HYC is to serve youth and their families by promoting the development of strong individuals and families in their community. This is accomplished through education, therapeutic approaches, advocacy, and the utilization of community resources.

Currently Helpline Youth Counseling has an immediate need for part-time Clinician who has the desire to make a difference in the lives of youth and families.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Conducts family-centered, strengths-based, culturally competent individualized intakes/assessments gathering information from family, consumer, significant other and involved agencies in the office or in the field as appropriate.

·         Completes Service and Coordination Plans, progress notes, and other required documentation.

·         Administers outcome measures to clients who have been identified to receive treatment.

·         Facilitate a case-management system and evaluation of service needs for families

REQUIREMENTS:
•Master’s Degree in social work or counseling.
•BBS registered required.
•Desire to work with youth and families
•Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

•Ability to work some evenings
•Valid Class C drivers’ license, current auto insurance and good driving record.
•Ability to pass background check and criminal clearance.
