QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registration with the California BBS as a Master’s level intern or licensed professional.
- Experience in community mental health working with at risk children and youth, in-home or residential.
- Availability to respond to crisis 24/7, with some weekends off.
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
- Demonstrates good clinical boundaries and professional presentation. The ability to follow Policies and Procedures including the philosophy of Pacific Lodge Youth Services as well as the ability to receive constructive criticism and feedback.
- Trained and certified in Seeking Safety, TF-CBT and/or MAP strongly preferred.
- Satisfactorily fulfill requirements for employment at Pacific Lodge, such as employment references, physical examination/TB Test, criminal record (Live Scan-fingerprints), clearances, etc.
- Possess a valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record in compliance with personnel standards.
- Training in Wraparound principles strongly preferred.

Therefore, each employee must at all times be emotionally stable and able to function effectively with children, adolescents and adults who may have mental or behavioral health problems. The staff must be able to demonstrate appropriate daily behavior, appropriate expression of emotions, as well as appropriate role modeling. Hostility, aggression and unnecessary or inappropriate physical actions as well as inappropriate emotional expression is not acceptable.
