SALARY: $50,423.78 to start + $4,800 annually if licensed

OVERVIEW: The Therapist is responsible for providing individual, family and collateral services to clients in the Wrap program. The Therapist works closely with the county and residential/agency social workers, consulting and collaborating on client’s progress and treatment plans. The Therapist also serves as a program consultant to other programs as required to assure quality services for the youth and/or family
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Schedule and coordinate therapy sessions.
Meet with clients for individual and/or family therapy sessions. Assess clients’ needs and level of functioning.
In coordination with Clinical Program Manager, utilize best and/or promising practices for treatment whenever possible, including TF-CBT, Practice-Wise, ART and other evidenced-based practices.
Communicate with County Social Worker on issues concerning clients.
Serve as a consultant to Clinical Program Manager, psychiatrist, residential and county social workers, residential staff to conduct staff training, providing clinical guidance and assisting in program implementation.
Ensure collaboration with any other service provided to youth, including after-care as needed.
Provide crisis counseling to children/families as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The licensed Therapist must possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited school of Social Work or other graduate program in Psychology, Counseling or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. Licensed Therapists must possess a license issued by the California BBS as an LMFT, LCSW or LPCC.
Unlicensed Therapists must possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited school of Social Work or other graduate program in Psychology, Counseling or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. Unlicensed Therapists must also be registered by the California BBS as an ASW, AMFT or APCC. Must receive LMFT, LCSW or LPCC license within six years of initial registration with the California BBS as an intern to meet Sacramento County contract requirements.
One year of counseling experience is preferred. Prior experience with children, adolescents and families with emotional problems is preferred.
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:
LCSW (ACSW), LMFT (AMFT), or LPPC (APCC).
If unlicensed, registration with the California BBS as an ASW, AMFT or APCC is required. Must receive MFT, LCSW or LPCC license within six years of initial registration with the California BBS as an intern to meet Sacramento County contract requirements.
Must receive and pass the First Aid, CPR, Medication Certification and Pro-Act Training courses offered through the Sacramento Children’s Home within the first three months of employment.
Must meet the requirements of the SCH Driving Qualifications policy.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
