Overview
The Bilingual Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT) at Seneca’s San Francisco Connections program is responsible for the ongoing provision of culturally competent mental health services to clients and their families, including individual and family therapy.  It is their responsibility to strive to provide the best possible treatment for their clients and their families.  They are also responsible for documentation to comply with agency-wide requirements as well as the requirements of the various counties with whom we work. Services will be provided almost exclusively in the community: in families’ homes, group homes, foster homes, schools, etc.

Responsibilities
Provide weekly individual therapy for 6-8 clients in English or Spanish as needed
Provide family therapy as needed in English or Spanish as needed
Co-facilitate therapy groups in English or Spanish as needed
Provide availability for 24-hour phone skills coaching (Monday-Friday; weekend excluded)
Chart mental health notes, treatment plans, outcome measures, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing the Seneca mission and philosophy
Function as team leader and uphold the ideals of the program.
Communicate with outside professionals involved with clients as needed
Meet weekly with other clinical staff for team supervision/case conference and present cases on a rotating basis
Attend weekly individual supervision meetings
Attend all relevant trainings, including in-services

Qualifications
Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required
Minimum 9 months direct clinical work
Eligible to register with the BBS
Own vehicle, California driver’s license and insurance
TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other licensing or certification requirements
Experience in working with children in out of home care preferred
Bilingual Spanish/English abilities required

Schedule
Monday- Friday
Flexible schedule required, with the ability to work some evening and weekend hours as needed
