Primary Therapist Position Summary:
Provide professional counseling for clients exhibiting drug abuse and/or alcohol related disorders in Detox, Residential, PHP, IOP and OP levels of care.
Primary Therapist Duties (not an exhaustive list):
- Carries a caseload of one-on-one clients
- Facilitates groups
- Provides treatment/recovery planning services
- Responsible for documentation of all services rendered, within strict timeframes.
- Completes appropriate screenings and assessments
Primary Therapist Qualifications (not an exhaustive list):
- Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field.
- Current and cleared intern or license number with BBS.
- Working knowledge of KIPU electronic health record system.
- Knowledgable of HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to manage change easily in a positive manner within a fast-paced/continually changing environment.
- Experience working in the recovery/drug and alcohol treatment industry.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
