Primary Therapist Position Summary:

Provide professional counseling for clients exhibiting drug abuse and/or alcohol related disorders in Detox, Residential, PHP, IOP and OP levels of care.

Primary Therapist Duties (not an exhaustive list):

  • Carries a caseload of one-on-one clients
  • Facilitates groups
  • Provides treatment/recovery planning services
  • Responsible for documentation of all services rendered, within strict timeframes.
  • Completes appropriate screenings and assessments

Primary Therapist Qualifications (not an exhaustive list):

  • Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field.
  • Current and cleared intern or license number with BBS.
  • Working knowledge of KIPU electronic health record system.
  • Knowledgable of HIPAA guidelines.
  • Ability to manage change easily in a positive manner within a fast-paced/continually changing environment.
  • Experience working in the recovery/drug and alcohol treatment industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
