FORENSIC TREATMENT AGENCY seeking to fill a Therapist position to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Positions available for our Downtown, L.A office ( 3rd St. and San Pedro St.) and South L.A office (46th & Broadway).
Duties:
* Providing individual and group therapy services, including intake assessments, treatment development, group treatment, and weekly psychotherapy to clients in office and/or field
* Conducting bio-psychosocial assessment with clients. Develop recovery plan of action and implement services towards recovery. Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with client and family members. Assist clients, families, and significant others in understanding mental illness and gaining their acceptance of and participation in their recovery and psychiatric treatment recommendations
* Coordinating and implementing group therapy under the supervision of clinical supervisor
* Participate, coordinate and implement cooperative arrangements and/or team conferences with various inter-disciplinary team members in the development and implementation of client’s treatment plan and aftercare plan
* Maintain and update client’s files and documentation in accordance with DMH and DHS guidelines
Skills
* Preferred knowledge of DMH paperwork
* Strong written/verbal communication and time management skills
* Preferred one year of direct service experience in a mental health setting which has an interdisciplinary team approach
* Preferred experience with offender/forensic treatment
Notes
* Must have own transportation, valid California Driver License, and proof of automobile insurance coverage. DMV record will be checked.
