Family Service Agency of Burbank (FSA) provides a variety of services to our community. One of which is individualized services for those struggling with the addiction issues. We know that successfully abstaining from substance use is very individual and that the right supports can make all the difference. FSA offers a multidisciplinary team to work with these individuals and their families. We are looking for Registered Associate Therapists with a back ground in addiction who are like minded and looking to assist others in their path to recovery.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other associated duties may be assigned).
- · Participates in program development as requested and where possible.· May assist in training and supervision of students or staff.· Keeps current with trends and developments related to essential job competencies, industry development, and innovation.
- Provides services as directed in the treatment plan, assists with treatment planning, and completes necessary updates as required.
- Maintains clinical responsibility for the therapeutic treatment of clients they are assigned.
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely fashion.
- Participates in peer consultations, staff meetings, and continuing education. Diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and treatment plan updates need supervisor’s signature. Charts need to be presented to supervisor on a regular basis.
- Facilitates referrals to appropriate internal resources where indicated.
Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, counseling, social work or a related behavioral/mental health field from an accredited college or university and a background in addiction are required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must maintain a current and valid license/associate number to practice as a therapist in the State of California
