Education and/or Experience

Associate MFT or APCC . License must be valid prior to applying.
Must be EMDR trained prior to applying.
Experience and/or training preferred in the behavioral healthcare field for Trauma and Mental Health.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectation

Ability to prepare case consultation, treatment plan and attend Treatment Team meetings
Ability to de-escalate clients if needed
Ability to run therapy groups, individual and family therapy sessions.
Job Summary

Provides individual sessions with clients weekly via Telehealth.
Performs client assessments at time of admission and re-assesments as needed.
Provide appropriate diagnoses and complete treatment plans based on a review of the client’s history, signs, and symptoms.
De-escalate clients during crisis periods.
Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff.
Crisis intervention services, including contacting Psychiatric Emergency Teams ( PET) and reporting child abuse and/or dependent/adult abuse.
Develop and implement individual treatment plans, measurable goals, interventions, family participation, and client’s goals for self.
Complete notes within 24 hours.
Monitor client’s response to treatment and modify plans accordingly.
Participation in-person at weekly treatment team meetings in Newport Beach, CA if the BBS requires it. Current supervision is via telehealth.
Knowledge of HIPAA and current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues.
In depth knowledge of the philosophy and approach to treating mental illness and behavioral health.
Twice monthly Instagram post for social media
Once monthly networking events/one-on-one
Any additional duties affecting the position requested by Supervisor.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to sit/stand/stoop kneel for prolonged periods of time.
Must have the visual acuity to see the computer screen and paperwork.

Job Type: Full-time
Hourly: $40 an hour for clinical sessions; $20 an hour for non- clinical (admin): 25 clinical sessions per week with about 8 hours of non-clinical per week (3 hours of supervision and 5 hours of admin); hours may vary
