About Center for Psychotherapy, Spirituality, and Creativity
CPSC provides professional services and supervision for AMFTs working toward their California State licensure. Under the guidance of seasoned professionals, Associates learn how to set up and run their own private therapy practice which includes California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) compliance, advertising and marketing, accounting, and general practice administration. In addition, Associates are required to work with a licensed supervisor to ensure that they provide a high standard of mental health counseling services. Associates earn clinical hours to meet BBS licensing requirements.
The Center for Psychotherapy, Spirituality and Creativity has openings for Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs) who are working toward California licensure and wish the independence of starting their own private practice in the Bay Area and Northern California.
CPSC provides guidance and professional support services such as accounting, payroll, office rental agreements, consultation, private/group supervision, and continuing education programs. Associates must work under the direct supervision of the licensed therapist of their choosing.
Associates may join CPSC with or without clients, however we encourage progress toward building a client base within three months. Associates earn a monthly stipend based on client income and expenses.
