POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Clinical Director, the Therapist is responsible for providing a wide variety of individual, family, and group therapy; case management counseling; crisis intervention; and advocacy services to students and families in accordance with their specific therapeutic needs. Position is school based.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to all components of the above position summary the following “Essential Duties and Responsibilities” are essential to successful performance in this position
1. Provides direct clinical work and/or therapeutic services to clients and families as measured by supervision and/or direct observation.
2. Complies with productivity standards of the Agency and maintains an appropriate caseload to reach the expectation of service hours.
3. Submits timely documentation (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, notes to chart) as outlined in policy.
4. Continually assesses the needs and symptoms of clients and families formulating a psychosocial diagnosis, gathering history, and determining the most appropriate method (s) of providing treatment/Evidence-Based Practice (individual, family, group, case management, outreach, etc.)
5. Continually assesses client progress and modifies treatment via completion and submission of outcome measures.
6. Accurately documents all work with the client and/or family and/or relevant persons as measured by QA standards and peer review audit results.
7. Participates in clinical/case supervision by coming prepared to discuss current caseload, documentation, and productivity; accepts constructive feedback and direction; and puts feedback into clinical and/or therapeutic practice with clients.
8. Establishes and maintains rapport and effective working relationships with clients, families, and community; works effectively within the Agency and community at large.
9. Maintains knowledge of program standards and policies as developed by Villages if California, the Board of Behavioral Sciences and other governing bodies; develops personal and professional knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in in-service programs.
10. Maintains overall confidentiality information regarding clients, families, and operations of the Agency (including media).
11. Incorporates Agency philosophy and mission in all aspects of job performance.
12. Maintains a professional relationship with clients, staff, and other outside stakeholders at all times.
13. Exercises good judgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities.
14. Attends all required staff training sessions in accordance with Villages of California and state licensing requirements, completes all training on time
15. Attends and participates in program and all staff meetings
16. Adheres to and promotes the Villages if California Mission, Vision, and Values while acting as a role model for others
17. Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent in this position has no supervisory responsibilities

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CREDENTIALS
· Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field required
· AMFT or ACSW with current California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) Registration preferred
· Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.
· Experience in Substance Abuse or Mental Health preferred
· Evidenced-Based Trained/Certified in MAP, TF-CBT, SS Preferred
· Must maintain a valid California Drivers’ License, have proof of automobile insurance and maintain a safe driving record based on Villages if California policy

· Bilingual in Spanish preferred, not required
