SUMMARY: Provide therapeutic and prevention services to clients and families; includes case management, education, de-stigmatization of mental health issues, and crisis intervention. Demonstrate high legal and ethical standards and operate from a culturally competent and strengths based approach. The Clinician will fulfill productivity requirements, comply with all documentation standards, and participate in an on-call rotation. This incumbent will be responsible for outreach and engagement of community, as well as facilitating small support and psychoeducational groups. If necessary, the Clinician is responsible for coordinating Mental Health services and Link and Consultation services in a manner to ensure follow-through on court ordered service plan, IEP Mental Health Plans, or development of a plan for families that are referred. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage and maintain client caseload according to timelines and program guidelines. Meet productivity standards—a minimum of 100 DSH per month. * Attend Child and Family Team Meetings. * Provides individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy as determined by the Child and Family Teams and reflected in the Family’s Plan in the Family’s home and/or community * Appropriately manage crisis situations. * Accurate, thorough, complete, legible and time specific documentation on a daily basis, i.e., within 24 hours and within the Medi-Cal standards. * Consult with agency psychiatrist, school psychologists, teachers and other professionals in the community to ensure continuity of care. * Maintain trainee/intern/licensure status with BBS. * Promptness in contacting new clients, prioritizing schedules of clients based on client and agency need as well as the timely closing of cases. * Participate in outcomes measurement tools administration and collection. * Complete accurate and professional assessment and diagnosis of mental disorders. * Constant professional communication and collaboration with other staff. * Attends the all required meetings as a professional representative of SCCS and client when appropriate. * Participates in on-call rotation and follows procedures regarding on-call. * If necessary, outreach in community, consisting of presentations to groups of all sizes and participating in outreach activities/resource fairs. * Able to facilitate psychoeducational and support groups by using EDP interventions and curriculum, as well as prepare flyers and other educational materials. * Manages AB2726 caseload and related IEPs and AB2726 documentation compliance. * Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Required Experience:

Education/Experience * Masters degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology. * Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred. Licensure, Registration, Certification * Active registration with California BBS. * Valid CA driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance and reliable vehicle. * Completion of CPR/First Aid certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Knowledge in report writing, assessment/diagnostic skills, ability to handle crisis situations and also (formulate and utilize) case conceptualization skills, as well as, group and family therapy skills. * Ability to interact professionally with other disciplines in the organization. * Able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. * Must be detail oriented and have the ability to complete documentation in a timely manner. * Excellent time management, organizational and follow through skills. * Ability to appear to work every day and on time. * Ability to follow directions from a supervisor. * Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees within the organization, to include peers, co-workers and supervisors. * Ability to understand and follow posted, printed and/or electronic work rules and procedures. * Ability to accept constructive criticism in a respectful, open and interactive manner. * Experience working with people over the phone. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook. * Must have the ability to perform efficiently and effectively with multiple interruptions.
