Harbor View Community Services Center in Long Beach has immediate openings for a Therapist II position. The Center is an outpatient mental health program for children ages 5-21 in Long Beach, CA. We are contracted with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to offer services to children with Medi-Cal in the South Bay area. We currently serve over 350 children with our combined field-based services, including School Based Mental Health, Field Capable Clinical Services (FCCS), Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), and Full Service Partnership (FSP) programs.

The Therapist II position is available in our Connections Therapeutic Services department. The Therapist II is responsible for treatment of the Center’s clients enrolled in its field based mental health programs. The Therapist II works closely with children ages 5-21 in their homes, at school, in the community, as well as at the center. Therapist provides: Assessment, individual and family therapy.

Qualifications:
EEO/Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work and registration as an intern with the BBS in California. Minimum one-year full time equivalent experience working in outpatient settings with children is preferred. Bi-lingual Spanish speaking ability is preferred, with a pay differential. This position requires the ability to set specific weekly schedule and work independently in the field, while being accountable for clinical and billing requirements.
