Description
San Gabriel Children’s Center (SGCC) Inc., has an opening for a Residential Clinician. SGCC is a Non-Profit Mental Health Organization which provides an array of mental health services to community, residential, and wraparound clients in Eastern San Gabriel Valley and surrounding areas. Our mental health services include: Community Mental Health Outpatient, Medication Support, Therapeutic Behavioral, and Wraparound Services. Our services are provided using both traditional and Evidenced Based Practices (EBP’s).
Summary: Provides mental health services and case management to residential clients who have severe mental illness.
Responsibilities:
• Ensures that Mental Health Treatment services are provided and documented in a manner consistent with contractual requirements.
• Completes and submits in a timely manner all billing sheets together with the proper clinical documentation.
• Provides clinical leadership for the treatment team of representatives from the residential, educational, and mental health service components to coordinate the delivery of effective mental health services.
• Develops updates and completes in a timely manner Pre-Authorization Requests, Service Plans and Coordination Plans for all clients.
• Maintains a caseload of Residential clients.
• Develops and maintains a professional relationship with monitoring agencies.
• Works with the Manager/ Director to ensure that program activities conform to program parameters as portrayed to the Department of Mental Health and are consistent with the Service Plan and the individual needs of each client.
• Participates in monthly and ongoing training and demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning.
• Participates in staff meetings and demonstrating a commitment to the monitoring of outcomes and to continuous quality improvement throughout the program.
Skills
• Must possess a Doctoral or Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or social work and maintain an active license in the State of California as a Clinical Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or have received a waiver of licensure/intern granted by the State Department of Mental Health, or be license-eligible and registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Notes
Obtain, within 30 days of employment Pro-ACT, Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification and maintain such certification current through the term of employment with SGCC. Maintain a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance if transporting clients/families
• Transferable EBP’s and Bilingual Spanish preferred.
