Training/certification for 0-5 age group highly recommended
Provides comprehensive therapy with children and their families within mental health division, DMH paperwork, case management and other related support services to children and their families in the field or at the clinic. Responsible for meeting weekly productivity expectations and maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records of all services rendered in accordance with state and county regulations. Will be responsible for carrying an ongoing outpatient caseload.
Masters degree required in Clinical Psychology. Licensed LCSW or MFT or license-eligible MSW Associate or MFT Intern, one year or more previous experience with children and families requiring diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning and crisis intervention, as well as providing the various modalities of therapy, strong communication skills including: Exceptionally strong writing skills are required. Must be able to document in a clear and concise manner and in accordance with DMH and other program standards. Strong commitment to children and families, and a willingness to take the steps necessary to assure their well-being, knowledge of the L.A. County Department of Mental Health system is a huge plus, ability to work within administrative and process parameters as required, willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment, must be willing to work in homes, schools, and other non-traditional, community oriented environments. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
