Didi Hirsch is seekling unlicensed therapists to work under the supervision of the Lead Clinical Supervisor and provide direct clinical and case management services to clients who currently display or have a history of Mental Illness in the Adult Outpatient Program.

Successful candidates will have experience with the severly mentally ill adult population and have provided service in a field-based capacity.

Essential Functions

  • Providing crisis intervention and facilitates conflict resolution to clients.
  • Providing intensive, short- or long-term individual and /or group therapy onsite, in educational institutions, and/ or community agencies.
  • Performing intake assessments by phone and/or in-person, client evaluations, and provides diagnoses.
  • Formulating a plan of treatment which promotes development and maintenance of individual goals designed to facilitate individual growth, improve social interaction.
  • Assessing and monitors condition of client to evaluate success of treatment and adapts interventions as needed.
  • Providing case management to include referral and links to community support services, psychiatrist, medical care, housing, rehabilitation & drug/alcohol services and social activity groups.
  • Interfacing and collaborating with clinic psychiatrist regarding client treatment planning.
  • Preparing educational materials for training and presentations
  • Monitoring and maintains documentation of client services, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures, and other related agencies standards and guidelines.

The required skills and mastery for success in this role:

  • Must be currently registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as a MFTI, ACSW, or PCCI. We will also consider waivered psychologists.
  • 1-2 years experience working with individuals with a history of mental illness and/or substance abuse in a social service/mental health environment.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of settings which include; outpatient and field based.
  • Knowledge of conducting intensive therapy and case management.
  • Ability to utilize analysis, experience, and judgment to make decisions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience Using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Electronic health record experience preferred.
  • Current CA license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance.
  • Must be able to do field work and available to work evenings occasionally.

Additional Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of conducting individual therapy sessions for those with a history of mental illness and/or substance abuse and their families.
  • Knowledge of Evidence Based Practices, Co-Occurring Disorders and/or the Recovery Model of treatment.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic intervention, assessment & intake, and individual/family therapy.
  • Know and comply with confidentiality laws, program policies,documentation guidelines and all other related state, and federal regulations.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention and clinical documentation( DMH paperwork experience a plus)
  • Experience working in a organized manner when completing paperwork highly desired.
