LGBTQ Program Coordinator
The LGBTQ Program Coordinator oversees the day–to-day operations of the LGBTQ Program and support staff. The Coordinator will organize an internal agency wide education serving the LGBTQ population to create cultural competency and ensure that the victim services provided to LGBTQ clients is respectful, appropriate and creates a safe and healing environment for LGBTQ community seeking services. Responds to the 24-7 CRI calendar for accompaniments to forensic exams, interviews and advocacy support.
• Must have or be working on Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field
• Must have experience serving LGBTQ community/clients
• Must have a working knowledge of the effects of domestic violence and sexual assault on victims, their families/support systems, and the community at large
This is a grant funded position for two years, continuation of position dependent on funding.

LGBTQ MFT Intern:
The MFT Intern/Trainee for the LGBT Program, provides therapy and support services for LGBTQ individuals and families, as well as facilitate educational/therapeutic groups. This position includes providing assessment, individual counseling, family counseling, couples counseling and/or group counseling for victims of abuse and non-offending family members or support persons. This includes both short term therapy and crisis counseling as consistent with the organization’s philosophy, the client’s best interest and the therapist’s score of practice. This position also supports our 24/7 CRI calendar in order to respond to Safe Harbor (West or East) or designated safe spaces for accompaniments to forensic exams, interviews and advocacy support.
• Must be participating in an accredited Master’s level Counseling program and have MFT Intern status
• Experience working with LGBTQ population strongly preferred
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) Preferred
• Must demonstrate strong crisis management skills
