Primary Therapist for Holistic, Integrative, Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Treatment Center.
The Primary Therapist position is a highly responsible position. Work is performed under the supervision of the Clinical Director/Executive Director. The duties and responsibilities of this position require knowledge of the agency’s policy, procedures, contract/memorandum of agreements (MOA) and program activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Master’s Degree, and or LMFT, LCSW, and/or LPCC and registered with the BBS * Proficient typing, computer, experience with electronic medical records systems EMR, organization and comprehensive clinical writing skills * Possession of a valid California Driver’s License is required with clean driving record * Private automobile of incumbent is required
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordination, planning and presentation of case conceptualization in writing and verbally in treatment team meetings
- Utilize independent judgment, strong initiative and professional decision making
- The position is required to maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPPA, Information Security Policy, PHI, State Protocols and Procedures and CFR-42
- Expected to communicate in a courteous manner at all times
- Generate weekly documentation consistent with clinical excellence
- Conducts individual and group sessions
- Responsible for the completion of projects in timely manner
- Participates as desired or directed in the family program
- Conducts individual counseling sessions
- Maintain charts/files/EMR records in accordance with BBS/NASW ethical and legal guidelines
- Assist Executive Director, Clinical Director, CEO and CFO as directed
- Answer and screen phone calls of collateral contacts and families as permitted by confidentiality and mandated reporting guidelines
- Provides excellent customer service
- Schedule appointments with clients, clinicians and team for collaboration
- Maintains a filing system accessible by management and clinical team
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed
- Attend community meetings as needed or directed
- Facilitates staff meetings and attends clinical staff meetings weekly as well as attends team trainings and clinical supervision
- Makes independent decisions in the processing of routine correspondence, investigates clinical subject matter and prepares reports as directed or clinically indicated.
