I am looking for a bright and capable Associate (ASW, AMFT, or APCC) that is interested in growing in their clinical work under my supervision/associate position within my private practice in Hermosa Beach.  I want someone that is a self-starter and go-getter, lives locally, would like to learn how to work in private practice and build local connections, and envisions themselves working in private practice in the South Bay after licensure.   I am looking for someone with experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families.  We also work with adults, however, we are primarily known for helping with youth and families. There will be opportunities for group work as well–currently my practice offers open-ended dynamically oriented process groups — one Middle School Girls’ Group, two High School Girls’ Groups, and one Young Adult Group.  There is an opportunity to develop a niche, learn a new orientation or expertise, creatively start a group therapy that our community needs, work with a diverse population of clients with a spectrum of presenting problems, and build camaraderie with the other five Associates in our office.  Looking for someone that is engaged, loves the field, curious, works hard, likes challenges, has good judgment and can work independently with support, has strong clinical skills, and is ready to grow personally and professionally.  Aiming for 20-25 client hours per week, needs to be willing to work some evening hours or weekends possibly.  401 K with matching and health care options are available.  Only looking for the cream of the crop clinician!  Please check out my website to get a feel for my style, background, and strengths-based approach.  Reach out if interested.
