TITLE: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist / Licensed Clinical Social Worker / Pre-Licensed Therapist
DESCRIPTION: Licensed Therapist / Pre-Licensed Therapist (LMFT, MFTI, LCSW) providing therapy services to adult individuals and couples addressing various concerns. Issues addressed in therapy include, stress, anxiety, trauma, communication struggles, relationship challenges, trust, infidelity, compulsive sexual behavior, sex addiction and pornography addiction. This clinician will conduct individual, couples, group therapy as well as psycho-education and recovery coaching sessions, with an emphasis on EMDR and/or Somatic Work.
EMPHASIS: Actively participate in Novus Mindful Life Institute’s Highly Regarded Expert Treatment TEAM to provide adult trauma treatment, relationship counseling, marriage counseling, intensive treatment for sexual addiction and pornography addiction. The ideal candidate for this position will possess knowledge, experience and understanding of methods to provide treatment to individuals and partners struggling with the effects of infidelity, sexual or pornography addiction. Provide EMDR and/or Somatic Experiencing treatment to help clients heal from trauma. Proven ability to treat clients with compassion, confidentiality, impartiality and without judgment and to empower clients to achieve healing and recovery.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain license in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
2. Complete thorough assessments to support diagnosis and confirm appropriate level of care by providing sufficient documentation of symptomology and functioning levels.
3. Develop and update treatment plans to include targeted discharge date to ensure progress.
4. Participate within the treatment team in a manner to achieve positive treatment outcomes.
5. Provide EMDR and/or Somatic Experiencing Treatment as a Trauma Therapist.
6. Participate in team meetings to review cases, report clinical progress, and consult with the team regarding case conceptualization and treatment planning.
7. Provide psychotherapy through various therapeutic modalities (i.e., individual, couples, and group therapy) at the outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care.
8. Willingness to be scheduled for individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services, Diversion Program Facilitation, workshops, and all required meetings (including staff, clinical review, and in-service education).
9. Consent to periodic recording of sessions for quality and training purposes.
10. Willingness to work one evening and one weekend assignment per week.
11. Adhere to daily charting requirements by completing clinical documentation and submitting supporting documentation, including therapy logs, on a daily basis.
12. Maintain thorough and accurate records, including psychotherapy notes, scheduling, and all other supporting documentation, within NMLI standards.
13. Respond to executive and administrative requests within a timely manner to ensure the successful processing of client transactions, paperwork, insurance claims, and billing.
14. Complete additional duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Knowledge of philosophies, standard practices, and outcomes of treatment models, recovery, relapse prevention, and continuing care for designated client population.
2. Strong practical and theoretical foundation in evidence-based and best practices for sexual addiction, including psychoeducation principles, and other various aspects.
3. Ability to conceptualize modalities and placement criteria for clients.
4. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity, an understanding of diverse cultures, and gender issues.
5. Conduct all professional activity with impeccable ethics and integrity: compatible with professional standards of responsibilities.

6. Maintain strict client confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
7. Adherence to all NMLI policies and procedures, state and federal laws, and any other relevant accreditation regulations and standards.

10. Verbal and written ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

12. Ability to work interdependently as a team member and contribute to culture positivity.
13. Demonstrate good organizational skills, the ability to multitask, prioritize assignments effectively, and work independently.
14. Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to use an EMR for clinical documentation.
15. Understand, interpret, and implement account and administrative policies according to NMLI standards, including the ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of relevant insurance coding, terminology, claims, and account payments.
16. Uphold NMLI’s reputation by exhibiting a professional, confident and grounded appearance and attitude during interactions with clients, colleagues and professionals.

PREREQUISITES
1. Master’s Degree in behavioral healthcare field.
2. Current license as LCSW, LMFT or LPCC with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences OR Pre-licensed status as an IMF.
3. Field related experience in working with trauma, addiction, sexual addiction, abuse, substance abuse/dependence, PTSD.
4. Provide clinical / professional references.
5. Provide a copy of license in good standing and current professional liability insurance.
6. Submit to and pass criminal record and child abuse index clearances.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
15. EMDR Certification
16. Experience with Somatic Processing
17. CSAT Certification through IITAP, or commitment to complete training within one year.
18. Maintain certification in good standing with the International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals.
19. Willingness to increase knowledge of sexual addiction treatment through literature, conferences, and training seminars to continuously improve clinical skills.
20. Participate in collecting clinical outcomes and research data if requested.

Transcripts must be from a regionally accredited institution.
CLOSING DATE

ESTIMATED SCHEDULE:
Two to Four days per week. Part-time with opportunities to increase to Full-time.
Required: Wednesdays 12:30 to 2:00 PM — Weekly Treatment Team Meeting
Saturday or Sunday availability along with a minimum of two evenings per week is required.
Ability to be flexible with scheduling is essential to accommodate quarterly staff trainings, intensive workshops and outreach events.
COMPENSATION RATE
Compensation range of 50 to 60%, depending on contract.
Based on average session fee of $100.00.
