We are looking for a FULL TIME licensed or BBS registered Therapist with eating disorder experience. Competitive benefits included: 20 PTO/sick days offered annually and weekly supervision included.
The Therapists at our facility provides services within assigned programs including the Adolescent Program, Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Partial Day Treatment program (PDT) or Extended Day Treatment program (EDT). Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 8am-9pm, Friday-Saturday 8am-7pm. Must be willing to work Evenings and Saturdays .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Facilitate group therapy sessions with adults and adolescents, demonstrating knowledge of eating disorders and the principles and techniques of group therapy effectively.
2. Support client in transition into treatment including: establishing rapport, coordinating with collateral contacts, gather data to determine patient readiness for treatment/change.
3. Familiar with co-occurring disorders such as substance abuse, PTSD, OCD, anxiety, and depression.
4. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of individual patient and family dynamics in various stages of treatment.
5. Lead or co-lead multi-family process groups.
6. Assist with psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, progress notes and discharge summary maintaining compliance with the policies and procedures of the facility as needed.
7. Maintains appropriate and timely communication with referral sources and other significant contacts, conveying a positive professional image.
8. Able to conduct family therapy with guidance from clinical director—put second since this is another big aspect of the job.
9. Coordinates and communicates effectively with peers and co-workers for the quality client care.
10. Utilizes supervisory feedback to improve performance.
11. Participates as a team player in the Rosewood Santa Monica milieu (i.e. active member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, works harmoniously with other staff, participates in all training activities).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field.
- Minimum one (1) year professional experience/education in Eating Disorder experience strongly preferred.
- May be licensed, registered or pending registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology as a marriage and family therapist, social worker or an associate counselor working towards licensure.
- Physical Limitations: must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
