Program Description: New Alternatives, Inc. – Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) is an intensive, one-to-one, in-home behavioral modification program designed to teach children, adolescents and their caregivers new behavioral strategies to help promote positive and appropriate  functioning. TBS is a program contracted through the County of San Diego. The clients that are  referred to TBS are either at-risk of needing a higher level of care or being hospitalized as a  result of the severity of their behaviors, or TBS clients may require support as they transition to a lower level of care. TBS provides coaching and clinical case management to these clients from  a strength-based, trauma-informed perspective. TBS coaches can provide behavioral services in homes, residential facilities/group homes, day treatment programs and in some school-settings.

Position Description: Case Managers are responsible for completing the initial Therapeutic Assessment with the client and caregiver, creating the TBS Treatment Plan, facilitating bi-weekly to monthly treatment team meetings, collaborating with treatment team members regularly, and providing oversight to Bachelor’s level TBS Coaches. Case Managers review the progress and effectiveness of behavioral interventions and strategies with the client and caregiver during the treatment team meetings, which include the Coach, the client, the TBS case manager, the client’s individual therapist, the client’s caregiver and any other significant team members. The Case Manager position is clinical and the Case Manager has the opportunity to gain supervision hours through weekly group supervision. The Case Manager position carries a full-time schedule (option of working four ten-hour days).

Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
Registered with the BBS as an IMF or ASW
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred (competitive pay for bilingual applicants)
One year direct experience working with SED youth (group home/residential care, day treatment settings, wrap-around programs, some school settings, transitional programs, etc)
Able and willing to travel, with mileage reimbursement and paid drive time from the TBS office, throughout the County of San Diego
