We are seeking a Primary Therapist to join our team!

This position is full-time, working 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (some flexibility in hours available), working every 4th or 5th week-end.

As a Primary Therapist, you’ll provide a therapeutic relationship for patients, coordinate care among the multidisciplinary team and guide the course of treatment through a written treatment plan based upon the assessed needs of patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical care as Primary Therapist providing individual, group and family therapy
  • Evaluate signs and symptoms of alcohol or other drug abuse and co-occurring conditions
  • Identify patient’s strengths and problem areas to develop the clinical formulation, and with patient co-create an individualized treatment plan.
  • Provide therapy for patients and their families by selecting and tailoring clinically appropriate theories, applying techniques to assist the patient, group or family in accordance with cultural, gender, lifestyle and age differences.
  • Coordinate all services for patient care, recognizing the elements of the patient’s crisis, implement an immediate course of action appropriate to the crisis, and utilize all Yellow Wood Recovery’s resources to resolve or treat the patient in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate relevant clinical information to the patient, family, group, and staff.
  • Participates in weekly multidisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with Associate Marriage Family Therapist (AMFT) registration, Associate Clinical Social Work (ACSW) registration, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) registration with the State of California by the Board of Behavioral Science, or
  • Clinical Licensure (LSCW, LMFT, LPCC), or
  • PsyD in Clinical Psychology or PhD in Clinical Psychology
  • Current state registration or licensure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year

Mental Health Clinician/Associate

The Mental Health Clinician will conduct group and individual psychotherapy as well as intake assessments for clients in a community mental health setting.
