The Help Group Child and Family Center and Outpatient Programs are family focused, child centered community mental health clinics offering comprehensive services and programs to our local communities in central San Fernando Valley and Culver City/Santa Monica areas.

Outpatient comprehensive services include in-clinics, school-based, and virtual individual, family and adolescent/parenting support groups, case management, as well as medication management, offered in several languages to reflect our local communities.

The Outpatient department prides itself on fostering hope and opportunity through its innovative, Evidence-Based programs and professional trainings. All of clinical and program staff are trained, supported and mentored by highly skilled and competent Clinical Supervisors and Program Managers with a long standing history with the agency and contributions to LA County communities. Our hybrid approach to service delivery will provide you with flexibility while ensuring the clients receive the services they need.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • LMFT / LCSW OR ACSW / AMFT
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with children adolescents and families
  • Familiarity with principles of family-centered, strengths-based services
  • Ability to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to provide home-based and field-based services
  • Familiarity with DMH documentation a plus
  • Valid CA Driver License and clean driving record, acceptable to Agency’s insurance carrier

  • Conduct MAT assessments and complete all paperwork and reports in a timely manner as required by DMH and DCFS.
  • Provide individual and/or family treatment to at-risk youth & SED children in the home and within our center.
  • Provide referrals to parents, and/or foster parents
  • Link client for mental health services when needed.  Provide group treatment, parent support groups, parenting education classes as assigned
  • Provide 24-hour coverage to assigned client caseload.  Maintain productivity rate at required Agency standards
  • Maintain client charts in a responsible manner and meet all DMH paperwork deadlines requirements
  • Ongoing collaboration and consultation with outside providers, community members, and MAT leadership at DMH and DCFS
  • Provide coordination of mental health treatment, which may include interfacing with community psychiatric hospitals, Department of Family and Children Services (DCFS), Department of Mental Health (DMH) school officials, Regional Center, and school districts.
  • Provide individual and/or family assessment and clinical support to children who are of risk to abuse and/or neglect and children with severe emotional behavior.
